7th European GRIN Conference 2025
In 2025, the 7th European GRIN Conference in Varese/Milan, Italy welcomed the international GRIN community for two and a half days filled with inspiring talks, shared experiences, social events, and meaningful connections between families, researchers, and clinicians. More than a scientific meeting, the conference was a place to learn from one another, strengthen partnerships, and celebrate the progress being made together.
The event brought together 158 registered participants from 18 countries, including 16 children with GRI disorders. Among them, 15 participated in Dr. Hudac’s EEG study, making an important contribution to research. The conference audience included 75 parents, caregivers, and family members, 38 researchers, and 13 physicians, reflecting the strong collaboration between the scientific, medical, and family communities.
With 19 scientific and association posters presented and 6 GRIN associations represented, the conference showcased both research advances and the power of patient advocacy. Through livestreaming, a further 85 families and experts were able to take part remotely, extending the conference’s reach to 24 countries across 4 continents. The 7th European GRIN Conference was a truly international gathering — one marked by exchange, solidarity, and a shared commitment to improving the lives of those affected by GRIN disorders.
